
Victoria is an African female scientist with a profound passion for enhancing public health, and particularly tackling diseases like malaria that have a devastating impact in Sub-Saharan Africa. She is a research scientist at Ifakara Health Institute in Tanzania and supports quantitative analysis in several collaborative projects at the institute and provides data analysis and technical support to malaria control programs in Tanzania and Rwanda.
Victoria has achieved notable recognition in the realm of early career excellence, earning the distinction of being named a runner-up by the Women in Vector Control of the Pan-African Mosquito Control Association in September 2023. This accolade stands as a testament to her significant contributions in the ongoing battle against vector-borne diseases.
She is a DTP TMRP PhD student at the University of Glasgow looking at assessing and evaluating the study designs of malaria vector control trials. Her PhD project aims to revolutionize the evaluation of interventions against malaria by investigating cluster randomized control trials and alternative trial designs to enhance the cost-effectiveness and feasibility of studies while maintaining high-quality evidence collection.
