Suvekshya Tiwari

Suvekshya is a dynamic health economist with a strong commitment to enhancing project outcomes in low- and middle-income country (LMIC) settings. She began her career during her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, working with a local NGO in Nepal’s Karnali Province, where she evaluated public health interventions and authored technical reports. Suvekshya earned her MSc in Health Economics from the University of York, completing her dissertation on the economic burden of mental health at the Centre for Health Economicss. She has participated in skill training programs through the World Bank and WHO. Suvekshya contributed to the development of a business plan for Nepal’s Ministry of Health and is proficient in statistical software such as STATA and SPSS for data analysis. Her expertise includes conducting cost-effectiveness analyses of health interventions and collaborating on a costed National Action Plan for Anti-Microbial Resistance for the Ministry of Health. Most recently, she served as a Health Economist for the Health Insurance Board of Nepal and is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Birmingham, focusing on the costs and outcomes of public health interventions in LMIC settings.

Suvekshya is supervised by Dr Louise Jackson at University of Birmingham on the PhD project Exploring the broader costs and outcomes of public health interventions in low- and middle-income country (LMIC) settings, using a case study.
