Laura completed an integrated master’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics at Newcastle University in 2024, with a master’s thesis entitled “Scalability of Bayesian nonparametric regression using Gaussian processes”. She is now a Population Health Sciences PhD student, based in the Biostatistics Research Group at Newcastle University. Her project, supervised by Dr Nina Wilson, Dr James Wason, and Dr Kevin Wilson, focuses on “Eliciting expert knowledge in the design and analysis of trials in rare diseases”.
