The deadline for applications for the next DTP intake of students to start October 2026 is 12 noon (GMT) Monday 12th January 2026. Late applications will not be considered. Completed application forms must be returned to: enquiries@methodologyhubs.mrc.ac.uk
Please ensure that you read the Guidance Notes carefully and complete the application form fully. Incomplete forms will not be considered. CVs will not be accepted for this scheme.
Please apply listing your first choice project. The ‘Thoughts on Project’ section should be completed in relation to your first choice. You may also list two other projects that you are interested in. If you only wish to be considered for one project you may leave the other boxes blank.
Before making an application, applicants should contact the project supervisor of their first choice project to find out more about the project and to discuss their interests in the research before 02 January 2026.

Yes, you will receive a receipt confirming your submission. If you have any queries, you can contact our team on the email above.
Do you accept applications from International students?
Yes, but there are only a limited number of international studentships available.
Are International students funded in the same way as Home students?
Yes. All appointed international students are funded in the same way as Home students.
Does the funding support Visa or IHS (International Health Surcharge) fees?
No. The funding does not support these costs.
Can I study part time?
Yes, you are able to apply to our Programme with the intention of studying part time. Please do discuss this with your prospective supervisor.
